Privacy Policy

Beat 65 is an NWSL roster-building and simulation game operated by NWSL Notebook. In this policy, “Beat 65,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the service and its operator.

We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve Beat 65:

• Account and authentication information. Firebase Authentication assigns an account identifier to every player, including guests. If you connect Google or email sign-in, Firebase may process your email address, display name, profile image, and sign-in provider.
• Profile and game information. We store your display name, game sessions, draft selections, club and formation choices, results, achievements, challenge participation, leaderboard records, rules version, and related timestamps.
• Communications. If you contact us, we receive the information in your message and the address you use to send it.
• Technical information. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, device and browser information, request metadata, diagnostics, and security logs when you use the service.
• Browser storage. Beat 65 and Firebase use essential browser storage to keep you signed in, restore an active game, and remember daily-game results.

• Provide, authenticate, and restore your Beat 65 account and saved progress.
• Run games, verify results, calculate records, and operate leaderboards and challenges.
• Prevent cheating, abuse, fraud, and unauthorized access.
• Diagnose errors, maintain reliability, and improve the service.
• Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests.
• Comply with applicable law and protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

We do not sell personal information and do not use it for third-party behavioral advertising. We may share or disclose information in these limited situations:

• Service providers. Google Firebase provides authentication; Google Cloud provides application and database infrastructure; and Vercel hosts the website. These providers process information to supply their services to us.
• Public features. Your display name, scores, achievements, challenge results, and other competitive information may appear on public leaderboards or shared challenge pages. We do not intentionally publish your email address.
• Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate abuse, or protect users, the public, or the service.
• Business changes. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service, subject to appropriate protections.

We retain account and game information while it is needed to provide Beat 65, maintain competitive records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Guest records may remain associated with an anonymous Firebase identifier unless the guest connects or asks us to delete the associated data.

You may sign out, choose not to connect a guest account, or limit browser storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in or saved games from working.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated API access and managed cloud infrastructure. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.

Beat 65 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

Google sign-in and any third-party sites linked from Beat 65 are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

We may update this policy as Beat 65 changes. We will post the revised policy here and update its effective date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
